Access — can we get it back there?

Is your gate (or narrowest opening) at least 8 ft wide?Measure the actual opening, post to post. Under 8 ft usually means a fence panel or gate has to come off — plan that before delivery day.
Can a wheel loader get into the backyard with the tub?We need a clear route wide enough for the machine, not just the tub. Tell us now if the only way in is between the house and the fence.
Is the route clear of obstacles?Vehicles, trailers, garbage bins, planters, A/C units, downspouts, gas meters, sheds and low branches all moved or noted.
Is the ground firm, and is snow, ice or mud cleared?Soft or frozen-rutted ground stops a loader. Sanded and cleared beats slippery every time.
Any overhead power lines, eaves or wires along the route?If yes, call us before delivery day — that changes the equipment we bring.
Stairs, steep slope, retaining wall or deck to cross?Not a dealbreaker, just something we need to know in advance so nothing gets damaged.

The pad or base

Is your pad done and cured?4 in. reinforced concrete, an engineered spa pad, or a compacted and screeded gravel base. Fresh concrete needs time to cure before a tub sits on it.
Is it level and big enough?Level side to side and front to back, and at least 6 in. bigger than the tub footprint on every side. Swim spas and all-season pools need full-length support — no unsupported ends.
Going on a deck? Has it been checked for weight?A filled tub with people in it runs 4,000–6,000 lb — roughly 100 lb per square foot. Have it looked at before, not after.
Does water drain away from the cabinet?Avoid a low spot that ponds under the tub in spring.
Is there service access around it?Leave room on all four sides if you can, and at least one full panel side clear so pumps and heaters can be serviced.

Do you have a licensed electrician lined up?Book them for after the tub is set in place. We give you the exact amp draw for your model when you order.
Do they know the breaker size your model needs?Plug & play: dedicated 15 or 20 amp 120 V GFCI circuit. Premium and Signature hot tubs: 240 V hard-wired on a 50 or 60 amp GFCI spa panel. Swim spas and all-season pools: usually 50–60 amp 240 V. Electric saunas: dedicated 240 V, commonly 30–40 amp.
Does your panel have capacity and a spare double-pole slot?Your electrician can confirm this in a five-minute look.
Is the disconnect location planned?In sight of the tub and at least 5 ft away from the water.
Is the permit / inspection handled?Your electrician normally takes care of this — just confirm it's in motion.

Will someone 18+ be home to confirm placement?Cabinet orientation and control-panel side get decided once — worth being there for.
Do you have a garden hose that reaches?Fill through the filter housing so you don't air-lock the pump. A hose pre-filter helps if your water is hard or iron-heavy.
Start-up chemicals on hand?Included with every hot tub, swim spa and pool we sell. Bring us a sample after your first fill — water testing is free for our customers, walk-in.
Steps, cover lifter or Covana cover decided?A Covana affects the pad size and clearances, so it's best decided before the pad goes in.
Sauna order? Assembly and delivery confirmed?Saunas are priced for pickup and can be self-assembled or professionally assembled. Confirm which you chose, and whether you asked us to quote delivery.
